Christmas trees, from pink to green!

So today I am going to post my Christmas tree transformation! In the picture above you can see how my trees looked like before I spray painted them. I actually picked these up for a very good price, only three nz dollars (Thats 2.01 euros)!

I wrapped the bottom in plastic since I wanted it to still be gold.

Here are just a few pictures of the spray painting process.

Now that all of the trees are done they need to dry…

Yep, this is the picture I used for my first of December post but it is the only one that you can properly see the christmas tree (I forgot to take another finished picture) I did make some other christmas decorations but they were far to big so I settled upon these beads.

Just a short post today. I originally had a story planned but the pictures I discovered a couple of minutes ago were very blurry but you could not see that they were on the camera. I have started using another camera and I have still alot to learn… Anyway, today I mostly took more pictures for my advent calendar thing. I hope that you are enjoying it so far. I always get such a nice feeling when I post something. I hope that you don’t mind me going on about how I feel about things etc. at the end bit here but it is just somewhere where I can share things. Anyway, have a lovely day and get into the christmas spirit! You can listen to the Pogues, Fairytale of New York like me if you want to.

Christmas countdown: 21 days, 3 hours, 30 minutes and 50 seconds until christmas!

Awesome transformation Emily! I would have never thought that the Christmas tree of this picture wasn´t originally green.
You say you hope your readers don´t mind you talking about how you feel about things. I have to say that I don´t mind at all, but quite the opposite. As you say, your blog is a way to share. It´s lovely to share our hobby but I think we also have to share our feeling and emotions. I think this way you make your readers or friends (I consider you an on-line friend) feel closer to you, if you know what I mean.
It´s funny how the last line of your post brought me back so many memories. I hadn´t heard Fairytale of New York for years,When I read “The Pogues”, Ireland came back to my mind ( I lived there for a few years).I searched for the song in youtube and listened to it.The celtic tunes brought me back memories from the time I spent in Ireland ,some happier than others but all part of my life.I remember I was in an Irish pub when I first listened to this song. Thank you very much for today´s post and for sharing pictures, stories, tutorials and also your thoughts and feelings. (Hope you don´t mind such a long reply to your post!)

I love reading long comments! I am glad you feel the same way about sharing thoughts and emotions. If you share how you feel about things you can recieve helpful comments and then can make a good choice or something if you are thinking about getting a new sylvanian set for example. I also think that reading about someones thoughts can help you appreciate and understand their posts a bit better.
Fairytale of New York is quite a good Christmas song and in my opinion you can listen to it all year round. I hope it brought back only good and happy memories for you!

    Emily,

The tree turned out SO BEAUTIFUL, I love it. ♥♥♥

The Cottontails’ cottage is so cozy, I like their green and white sofa very much.

I don’t mind reading about your thoughts, that’s the good thing about the Sylvanian community, here we can talk to other like minded people. 🙂

    Hugs,
    Nina

Yes, I like sharing my thoughts. I am really happy that you like the trees, they were just so cheap to make but turned out great.
