It was a beautiful day in Dandelion Creek and Megan Appleseed was awaiting the arrival of Anna Bramble. The two of them had said to meet up to have some fun in the snow together.
“Anna!” Megan exclaimed .
Megan had brought skies for both of them as Anna did not own any of her own. Slowly they made their way up the hill.
“Did you know I once won 3rd place at a competition for skiing?” Megan asked.
“No, I didn’t, you must be very good.”Anna replied nervously.
Finally they had reached the summit and took in the amazing view of Dandelion Creek and beyond.
“Have you skied before Anna?”
Anna hesitated and then said “Yes, of course I have.”
Megan excitedly stood upon her skies and pushed off, how much fun it was to race down the hill at great speed and she took off into a perfect ski jump.
“No you can go!” she called far bellow.
Anna slowly made her way to the edge of the hill, it was a long and steep way down. A big gust of wind blew her forwards a little and that was enough to get her going, she whizzed down the snowy slope faster and faster towards the jumping hill at a dizzying speed. Megan watched her in awe, Anna was going very fast!
Then it happened, Anna crashed into a snowbank and rolled over the jumping hill and the rest of the mountain, turning her into one big snowball.
With a big thud, Anna reached the bottom of the hill. “Are you okay?” Asked Megan worridly, running up to her, “I thought you could ski!”
“I am fine and I have skied before…”
“When you were…?”
“Two” Anna admited “I was on Mothers skies, infront of her.”
“I rather thought so” Megan sighed “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I, I don’t know. I thought you might laugh at me because I am the only one who does not know how to ski. I was laughed at back in Pumpkinvilles”
“The people in Pumpkinvilles are horrible people. I promise you I would never laugh at you but don’t try and do something which is too dificult for you. You need practise to ski”
Anna decided that she did not want to do any more skiing for today but Megan made her carry her skies to the top of the hill anyway. She had Anna sit on her skies like a sleigh and down she went with Megan sking beside her, both squealing in joy.
“Megan, can you teach me how to ski?” Anna asked
“Of course I can!” Megan replied, “We’ll start tommorow.”
Just did a quick story today. Anyway, today I won an auction for the canal boat (photo bellow) and I am at the moment so happy since I have really wanted this for a long time. It is used and is only missing the top sign, washing line, bucket and broom so for 30 nz dollars I found that was a pretty good deal. Hope you still like the daily pictures!

(14 days, 4 hours, 11 minutes and 55 seconds until christmas!)
Anna is lucky to have such a good friend!
Your photos look lovely and your handmade pair of skis look great.
I really like th phos of Megan and Anna running down the hill adn I feel sorry for the poor Anna but the photo where she crashed into the snowbank is really good. (She will probably not agree with me)
Congrats!! That boat is lovely and it looks in very good condition. The price is very good too!
I do enjoy your daily pictures!
They skies are just card cut outs. Anna certainly does not agree with you on the photo sentance. She says that you have got to realise that rolling down a snowy hill is cold, painful and terrifing. Luckily Anna walked away with only some bruises. I will pick up my canal boat of Saturday!

Loving your daily Christmas photos. Anna is lucky to have Meghan in her life as she is so kind. Can’t wait to see what you do with your canal boat x
I can hardly wait to see my canal boat and to sew little cushions for it.

I also think Megan is a very kind friend to have. She doesn’t judge Anna for not knowing how to ski or for not telling the truth.
Hopefully, in the future, Anna will feel free to be herself and not worry whether people will laugh at her like those people in Pumpkinville.
Anna has opened up heaps with the support of her friends.
