“When will they finally come!” exclaimed Willow Cottontail. She was waiting for hers and her brothers friends to come so that they could all go trick or treating together. Her brother, who was usually very talkative just starded at her blankly.
Just a few minutes later the door opened of the village store and in came the Beaman children, Lucille, Eddie and little Emily whom her big brother had forgotten about and had shut the door in her face. Luckily he soon realised what he had done.
“Hello Lucille! I am so excited to go trick or treating with you and the others” Willow chattered.
Very soon all of the children had arrived and when finally the Bramble twins had arrived, all of the invited children could get changed into their Halloween costumes.
Everyone looked stunning in their outfits.
Suddenly a big…thing walked into the store- it was Maxi Bramble! He had dresses up as a cloud and had a lot of floaty material wrapped around him.
“Mother! I can’t find my acrobat costume!” said an exashperated Peter Cottontail.
“Oh darling!” his mother cried and gave him a hug. As her cheek brushed his forehead she felt that it was very hot.
It turned out to be a fever and that meant that poor Peter could not go trick or treating!
So all of the other children in the group had to go without him. They decided to split into two groups.
In the first group was Rosie Buttermilk who was dressed as her favourite book character Mary Poppins, Willow Cottontail as a chef, Lucille Beaman as a fancy lady, Emily Beaman as an angel and Anna Bramble as a princess.
Trick or treat!
They all called as Ms Blackberry opened the front door of her house.
The children then played and danced to a wonderful little song which they had made up just for this occasion.
As a reward, Ms Blackberry gave the children some candy wraped in gold paper.
While his friends were out trick or treating, getting candy, Peter had to take some disgusting medicine for his feaver and some camomile tea which he hated, yuck!
The second group which consisted of Harrison Walnut as a school boy, Maxi Bramble as a cloud, Alice Caramel as a witch, Tobias Walnut as a ghost and Eddie Beaman as a bush, tree or hedge, paid Ms Tidytail a visit. Trick or Treat!
They were allowed to have a handful of popcorn and a few peppermint candies, the children were delighted! (They promised to clean the candy cart the next day to say thank you)
All the children visited a few more places before meeting were they had split up. To their surprise, there, waiting for them were Marie McPurr, her daughter Petra and Peter in the pram!
“I hear that Peter was too sick to go trick or treating and that his costume was to thin so now, he is my baby and here he is, nice and warm in Petras pram!” Marie exclaimed.
The children all thought that this was wonderful and then made a big circle. In the middle they all emptyed out their candy so that they could divy them up so that everyone got an equal share.
There was quite a big pile of candy!
Then came the big procedure of splitting it up evenly among the children, some got two candies, some only one half a half a hand of popcorn.
“This is the best Halloween ever!”
Happy Halloween Everyone!
Can you belive that it is November tomorrow? I must take the picture of the calendar to post after this. Yes, Maxis costume was a cloud. Who did you think had the best costume overall? Even if you do not celebrate Halloween I still hope that you have enjoyed this blogpost. I think that children should earn their treats so thats why the danced and offered to clean the candy cart.
Have a nice rest of your day!

What a cute story, Emily! I love all the costumes. I find Maxi Bramble very funny dressed up as a cloud! I like the way they do a bit of a performance and offered to clean the candy cart in order to win their sweets and it´s also a very good idea the way the share all the treats.
I think thatit is quite weird that you just knock on the door and get candy from people, I didn’t want my sylvanians to be that way… Anyhow I like that you like Maxi’s costume! You see lately with school and stuff I have not had the energy to make proper costumes though I would have liked to so I therefore made some quite simple costumes. Afterall, you are suppossed to be creative with your costume choices…
Emily
Definetely you´ve been very creative with the cloud costume!
WOW! Cutata, your comment was the 300th on my blog! Well, I guess I have to write a blogpost right now. I am glad that you liked the cloud costume.
