Evies Sleepover Set Review

So, yes, I am finally posting this review that was suggested! Here is everything included in the set.

Items included are: Halzelwood child figure, slleping bag, bed chair, hair brush, alarm clock, hot water bottle, cloth, two books, mirror, toothpaste, toothbrush, cup and a bunny toy.

Now, some of the items were a bit different to how they were on the box, some more than others so to avoid anyone getting dissapointed like me when they first open the set, I have here photos of the changes.

The brush bristles are a different colour and does not have the two top lines on the handle, only the bottom.

Yep, the picture speaks for itself. It is all a different colour!

The fabric is different in colour and pattern. I know it may be lighting but the flowers look quite different to me.

Hmm, the face cloth. Don’t you think it should well, look more orange?

The figure is going to have a bit of a hard time sleeping on the chair bed since the sleeping bag is a whole lot bigger!

Here are my three Hazelwood mice, they each have a unique colour.

The mouse on the left is the newer figure but is a whole lot lighter.

The face shape is also different.

The rabbit toy, you can’t see it very well in the photos was actually dirty and not all of the dirt I could get off, even after washing and rubbing it’s white fur.

Well, you can see here that there are a few changes but I found that you get used to them. I mean I was extremly dissapointed when I opened the set but now, two month onward, they aren’t such a big deal anymore. I am begining to grow onto this set again and I am sure many also would, even though it is not like it is pictured. Still, the flocking of the figure is excellent!

Thank you for your detailed review! I appreciate you take the time to write it as I rememeber I asked you to do it
I see what you mean about the difference between some of the contents displayed on the box and what you get inside. To be honest with you I like the blue sleeping bag a lot. I think I prefered it to the white one. The only thing I don´t appove is on the dirty toy rabbit.
I have a father and mother Hazelwood figures and I consider the idea of adding a daughter to the family. That´s why I was interested in knowing what you really get with the set. Now, I´m glad to know what I´ll find in this set if I decide it to buy it. Thanks Emily

You’re welcome! I like the blue sleeping bag too! I am just happy that even though I prefer the white one that it is not Barbie pink! As for the dirty toy rabbit, I am disapointed because it does not meet the usual quality of SF. I think it would be great for you to have another girl/daughter for your village. I bought this set for the figure as well…

This is interesting and I’m glad I’m not the only one that notices these things. I bought the Sylvaninan camping set. On the box it shows a tent with peach edges with a pale green main colour with pretty roses on it. What you actually get is a bright green tent with blue flowers on it- was big time disappointed. I quite like the sleepover set , but agree it’s a shame about the bunny.

I am sorry it took so long for me to approve your comment Sarah! School has left me exhausted at the end of each day… I am sorry about your dissapointment with the sleepover set, is it the one with Ingrid Blackberry? Some things do vary (unfortunatly) from the box as we have both found out! Now, I don’t really mind some of these variations but Evies colour still annoys me.

No worries 😀 I think her name is Ingrid (bunny with black tipped ears). As collectors I guess we are looking for a little more wow factor. Have to say I was super impressed with the calendar and the tote bag that came with the magazine 🙂
